Navigate
Navigates to a URL or file.

Navigates to a resource identified by a URL or to the file identified by a full path.


Navigate2
Navigates the browser to a location that might not be able to be expressed as a URL, such as a pointer to an item identifier list (PIDL) for an entity in the Microsoft® Windows® shell namespace.

This method extends the IWebBrowser2::Navigate method to allow for shell integration; however, the original IWebBrowser2::Navigate method can still be used for URL navigations (IWebBrowser2::Navigate2 does not make IWebBrowser2::Navigate obsolete)
