Title: Spectrum Display
Description: The screenshot shows this program in action displaying sferic (lightning generated atmospheric impulse) activity recorded at Ala Moana Beach Park in Honolulu, Hawaii using a home built preamplifier, and an old TV degaussing coil as an antenna. The vertical traces in the waterfall display represent lightning discharges up to several thousands of miles away.
The program can be used to display other signals received through your computer soundcard's line or microphone inputs. Multiple sampling rates are supported as are multiple choices of Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) bins.
The program is in early stage at present. It needs further refinement particularly with regard to speed. Any help with that would be greatly appreciated.
